As a business we strive to bring joy to everyone, but today is a special day – it’s International Women’s Day.

When we started Ooh & Aah Cookies, we were just two best friends who wanted to bake tasty treats and create a business that we could build our life around. But girls with dreams, become women with vision! So those two best friends are now an incredible team of eight women who are baking the world a better place, one cookie at a time. Yet, we are much more than bakers. We are mothers, wives, daughters, sisters, and friends.

The theme for IWD this year is #BreaktheBias – and that’s what we try to do in Ooh & Aah every day! As female founders, mums, and everything else, we find that we are uniquely positioned to understand the pressures that women feel. We know the juggle is real and we understand that sometimes life throws curveballs that we can’t plan for, so we adapt.

Each member of our team has their own story, of success, of struggle, of growth. From the mum who is trying to juggle life, love, hubbies, babies (that is mostly Ruth & Barbara-Anne); to the school leaver who wants to boss life and forge ahead in a career that she loves. Whether in the juggle or the struggle, our team still show up and get it done.

Bias has no basis when it comes to what we can achieve. Our team of gals always deliver the goods whilst bossing life. We will not let age, race or circumstances dictate who we bring into our business. If you have passion, grit and determination, nothing can stop you from reaching your goals. You just might need some extra help along the way…

So today, we celebrate all the women in our lives… our co-workers, our mums, our daughters, our girlfriends, our childcare, our digital marketing genius, our behind-the-scenes girls from all parts and paths of the country that help put the Ooh with the Aah…

We are honoured to be surrounded by women who are bold, opinionated, confident, and graceful women. We couldn’t do it without you!
